While trying to cross into Greece, 19 of the 22 refugees whose belongings and clothes were seized and pushed back froze to death in Ipsala. Members of many non-governmental organizations gathered on the street of the Greek Consulate General in Istanbul, in Beyoglu to protest the deaths of refugees. The members of the group marched to the consulate with a banner that reads 'Let the borders be closed to racism, open to humanity' and protested the pushing of immigrants to death by shouting slogans.
